Susie Spinks – Meditation and Mindfulness Teacher

Susie Spinks, meditation teacher

Susie Spinks began her regular meditation practice in 2011, which led to a profound transformation in her life. Through meditation, she realized that the practice was not only something she did in quiet moments, but it truly translated into real, everyday life.

Over time, Susie noticed significant changes in how she responded to emotions and thoughts. She was able to let go of things that would have once upset her, and as a result, she no longer dwelled on them or lay awake at night. Anger became less intense and passed more quickly. Most importantly, she found herself feeling happier and more content.

This personal revelation sparked Susie’s deep interest in understanding how mindfulness and meditation create such changes, especially the science behind what happens in the brain.

Originally an engineer, Susie later taught high school maths, which gave her a natural knack for logic and clear explanations. This background has made her an excellent teacher, helping students understand meditation in simple, relatable terms.

Susie is a registered meditation teacher with the Meditation Association of Australia (MA).   She worked closely with MA to develop Sydney Institute of Meditation’s Teacher-Training program, which she has now been teaching since 2020.

Natalie Mallia – Meditation and Mindfulness Teacher

Natalie is a registered meditation teacher with Meditation Australia, Wellness Coach and ACT Mindful Practitioner.

Meditation Teacher registered and accredited by Meditation Association of Australia

Nat found her way to Tibetan Buddhist meditation in 2015. Her doctors had told her that she would be blind in 3 months’ time.

She knew there had to be a way that she could regain control of her mind and help heal her body. Consequently, she devoted her time to meditation, mindfulness and the metaphysics of eyesight and general wellbeing.

Nat’s dedication to meditation and her determination to calm her mind and heal her body paid off. Her vision didn’t deteriorate to blindness like the doctors predicted. Four years later, after spending three months in a Buddhist meditation retreat, Nat’s eyesight was restored through eye surgery.

Nat attributes her self-healing to the power of mindfulness. She loves sharing the healing benefits of meditation, mindfulness and chakras with people and watching their lives transform.

Nat studied under Susie to gain a more wholistic view of meditation. She now combines both the spiritual practices of Buddhist meditation with the Western science wisdom.

Nat runs Wellness with Nat located in Umina Beach on the Central Coast. She loves spending time in nature, soaking up the sun, and cooking up a storm in the kitchen.  You can find out more about Nat at www.wellnesswithnat.com.au
